Idos Motorsport Team Boss Elise Skinner, has just announced that the team will be making a return to the Seacrest Racing Club GT3 series after originally announcing their departure from the series.
Elise Skinner, after lengthy talks with drivers, has made the decision to continue the GT3 programme on rFactor 1 as rule changes and ideas have favoured the team and their ideas. With the series now allowing free car choice and also allowing teams to have two seperate car manufacturers for each driver if they so wish, Idos Motorsport have jumped straight to it and re-signed Jeff Klose to the main line up alongside Dionysis Faraos who will be making his debut for the team at the first round of Season 4.
The team has also decided to use two totally different cars this season. Ditching the Jaguar that was very much beloved by Elise and Jeff in Season 3, they will be using one Chevrolet Corvette C7.R to be driven by Jeff Klose and one SRT Viper GT3-R to be driven by Dionysis Faraos.
Upon the news Elise Skinner was very eager to make comments
"Today is the day i can happily announce we are returning to the Seacrest Racing Club GT3 series. Jeff Klose has announced he will return with the team alongside Dionysis Faraos. Our most recent car deals with Corvette and SRT will mean we have a car for both our main team drivers for the full season. We're looking to improve on last season's pace and aim for higher in the series than we achieved last season. If Jeff (Klose) is on pace compared to last season then this will be an easy achievement and with Dionysis alongside, we can aim for a decent teams championship charge at the same time.
There are also plans to try and enter our second team (Idos Engineering) so long as we have interest. This may also lead to a future manufacturer deal within the series. However. This is not confirmed and will be on the basis that we have the interest there from a driver or two."
With the previous success in the series for Elise's Idos Motorsport team, they have high hopes. Elise steps down from the team as well to make way for newer drivers to join. All eyes forward to round 1!
